Donna Johnson has been a full-time network marketing leader for thirty-two years. Judy O’Higgins was a counselor specializing in women’s issues when she discovered network marketing. She loved her career but didn’t want to continue it into her old age. She was looking for a way to diversify her income when a friend offered her a network marketing opportunity. Judy started building a business part-time, but her company went out of business. She eventually found a product that allowed her to touch lives much in the way she did in her counseling practice.

Dr. Barbara Beaty was a nutritional counselor and teacher when one day a former client handed her a catalog and asked her to evaluate some health and wellness products. After trying the products and loving them, Barbara naturally started sharing them with others, but she felt almost embarrassed to mention the business opportunity. She overcame her resistance to network marketing by educating herself about the profession and went on to build a large organization.

The MORE Project

The MORE Project is a nonprofit organization entirely funded by a network marketing company through donations and volunteer activities. The company’s founder Dallin Larson always wanted to give back to the country of Brazil, because the key ingredient in his company’s product, the açai berry, happens to be found in the Brazilian rainforest. He made the two-way flow of giving and receiving an integral part of his company culture.

Filling Empty Bowls

Thirty years ago, Larry Jones and his wife began operating a volunteer charity effort from their kitchen table. Today, Feed The Children has grown to become one of the world’s largest private charitable organizations. Feed The Children has provided food and other essentials to children and families affected by hunger, poverty and natural disasters in 118 countries. The organization takes large donations of product from a network marketing company and distributes it to needy people.

Concerned that the insufficient grasp of economic principles left students of religion poorly equipped to address real-life social issues, Father Sirico cofounded the Acton Institute, whose mission is “to promote a free, virtuous and humane society by demonstrating the compatibility of faith, liberty and free economic activity.”
