It all started in 2006 when my mother, Chanida Puranaputra, and Chad’s mother, Susan Chong, were both top leaders working closely together in the same company.

Around that time, Chad and I also got involved in the business and knew each other’s parents, but we did not know of each other. However, all that was about to change.

Let’s zoom in on Chad.
Chad attended a seminar in Malaysia (his country of origin) where Chanida was a guest speaker. When Chanida showed a slide of her family, all Chad saw was me, and in his own words, he was “mesmerized.”

Now let’s zoom in on my side.
My mom knows I love healthy competition, so she mentioned there was a young man also building the business. She went on to show me Chad’s flipchart and photos, and now I was mesmerized.

Who would have known that from across the world (I lived in Los Angeles and Chad in Australia) there would be two identical stories happening simultaneously? It was fate. We got each other before “Hello!”

The rest is history: our two beautiful babies, Chariah and Chase, are now our why.

We went on to build large international organizations in different companies (successively), sky rocketing through the ranks, becoming top-ten income earners, earning a high six-figure income, all of this while also being the youngest top achievers in the company.

Chad came from an IT background, working long hours and wanting more out of life. He used to complain, “I was forced to look at my boss every day. He’s not that attractive and he doesn’t smell too good. I would rather look at Nattida.”

Now we have the opportunity to spend every waking moment together.

I, on the other hand, struggled to find my story. I have no rags-to-riches story, nor do I have a story of long working hours or struggle. Because of that, I felt my story would not inspire or transform people. I actually believed I had no story... until now.

What I recently realized is that I am a living testimony. My story is why you need to do this business. Because my parents made a decision over twenty-five years ago to join network marketing, the term “job” was never in my vocabulary. I always knew I wanted to be my own boss. Network marketing became my vehicle, because the possibilities are endless.

My parents were my role models. Now Chad and I have the same goal for our children.

Our business is a family affair on many levels. With my parents being Thailand’s first Diamonds in our company, and Chad’s parents being Emeralds, it was inevitable for us to follow in their footsteps.

Working as a power couple makes everything much easier. Independently we are strong and confident, but together we have even greater power not only to help each other grow, but also to inspire everyone around us to become better in every aspect of their lives.

We share the same purpose of wanting to go out of our way to help others. It’s what drives us and gets us excited.

The biggest benefit is I get to work with my best friend and soul mate every single day, and our business can grow at an exponential rate because we are doing it together. We are each other’s rock when the going gets tough and we continue to push each other to be the best we can be. This business has allowed us to utilize and complement each other’s strengths to the fullest.

Just last month, Chad was in Australia and Europe building our organization while I was in the U.S. doing the same. Working in two places helped to skyrocket our business. Was the sacrifice of him being away hard on me and the children? Yes.

Sacrifice is difficult. But when you know your why, it becomes easy. We feel we are living the best lifestyle in the world, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

The biggest advice we give everyone is to know your why, and to pick a champion. Once you find your champion, do what they do and shadow them completely. When I say completely, I mean completely: how they dress, walk, talk, think; who they surround themselves with, their activity, the events they attend, and so on.

Our role models are Our Lord and Savior, our parents who have taught us great work ethic, and Holton Buggs, our company’s VP of Sales and a leadership legend in the network marketing profession. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today, and you wouldn’t be reading this article. We will forever be indebted to them.

Still in their thirties, NATTIDA and CHAD CHONG recently became their company’s first  English-speaking Diamonds in the Los Angeles area.
