When I was little, I always wanted to be a ballerina—and I wanted to help people. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the feet for ballet and ended up studying theatre and film instead. But thanks to my unexpected career in network marketing, I can wholeheartedly say that the latter dream has come true.
What I love the most about our business is the opportunity we have to teach people how to become self-sustainable. Our success is built upon our ability to help others create successful businesses by mentoring them. The time freedom and flexibility that come with having a successful network marketing business is priceless. I believe that when given a choice, most of us will choose to spend our time making a difference in the world.
Thanks to my network marketing business, I had the opportunity to volunteer as a teacher for several months in Tanzania, East Africa. A few years later, I was able to return for an entire year to volunteer and help build a new primary school in a deserving village nearby. I was able to donate my time, and am proud to see the progress the Kisimani School has made in the past two years: we currently have 190 students and hope to add two new classrooms each year. Our school is independent and community-run rather than being reliant solely upon foreign donors to sustain itself. We truly are “teaching people how to fish.”
