From the time we graduated college, we knew that sponsoring children benefits entire communities, helping them to become self-sustainable. As soon as we helped one community reach the level of self-sufficiency, we moved our sponsorship to new communities in need.
Now that we have become successful in network marketing, we have the time and financial resources to do more. Our company showed us the importance of not only financially contributing but also giving of our time and emotional support.
Passionate about breaking the cycle of poverty through education, we love to support children’s charities by providing resources and training. Our company offers us an incredible outlet for helping children and families in the favelas of Brazil. Each time we go there to help out, we are inspired to do more.
When we serve, we gain experience and come to understand more about the world we live in. Research tells us that those who serve others are happier. Focusing on others’ needs helps us grow in compassion and kindness. We have much to learn from our fellow human beings, including the recipients of our service. We can experience humility and be challenged to focus on what really matters in life.
Gandhi said, “Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us renders some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger and will make not only for our own happiness, but that of the world at large.”
Through network marketing we learned the importance of our contribution and thanks to our business, we can now truly be of service to others in need.
