In 110 A.D. Plutarch issued the following warning:
An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics.
As a student of both history and current events, I have marveled at the unchecked global income shift in the last three decades. Worldwide, since 1980, a massive share of global income and wealth has funneled upward into the bank accounts of the richest 1 percent. Chuck Collins explains this in his latest book 99 to 1: How Wealth Inequality Is Wrecking the World and What We Can Do about It—and he is bang-on.
Like Collins, I believe that wealth inequality is wrecking the world. Fortunately, we have a vehicle that can reverse the problem. It’s called network marketing and you can be proud to call yourself a participant. Together we can change the 99 to 1 wealth inequality.
Do not think for one moment that politics can solve this problem. Do not think that the 99 percent will create change by setting up tents and holding up signs. And do not think that the 1 percent will create change by self-inflicted greed control. It’s true that many of the 1 percenter are not sociopaths and some, like Warren Buffett, have even offered to pay more taxes. But let’s face it, people in China, India, and Africa could care less about where Obama was born or how much Romney has squirreled away in offshore bank accounts. As Rhett Butler might have put it, “Frankly, my dears, the rest of the world just doesn’t give a damn.” People are too poor and the gap is too great. So let’s get back to network marketing and consider it from a global perspective.
If any change is to occur, a percentage shift is critical. When the gap shifts even the one-point difference from 99-to-1 to 98-to-2, thanks to wealth creation through network marketing, we will see a tipping point of core-value capitalists entering into the wealthy class. At that point, there will be a seismic shift in values that can and will reverse inequality by replacing dominant values such as:

All we need is a 1 percent increase in the wealthy class in order to usher in positive global change—a few million of us who actually earned our prosperity.
Not only do I see a bright future for our business, I see it as a solution to problems that are simply not going away without the efforts of each of us. And to those who may be tempted to consider my solution the delusional ramblings of an old MLM guy suffering from pathological grandiosity, I have a simple question: What’s your master plan, genius?
