  2. If you want to connect with Gen Y, start creating your own brand on Facebook and YouTube. The key here is that people ultimately will join you, not your company. An important question to ask yourself is, "Am I living a life that others would want to live, and am I being someone others would want to partner with?"

  3. Start documenting any fun you're having by sharing it on your social media networks. This doesn't take more than a few minutes a day, because you can post and upload straight from your smartphone. The key is to consistently post inspiring captions or motivational quotes. Never put anything negative out there. One post that doesn't sit well with someone could be the last post of yours they ever read.
