We met and fell in love through network marketing five years ago. Secretly, we both had been looking for someone with whom to share our amazing lives of building a home-based business.

Since we found each other, we have one vision and goal, and we tend to feed off each other’s enthusiasm all day long. When we get going, we are moving! There is nothing like the feeling of being one in all areas of life. The challenge of working the business as a couple is that once we start, it’s hard to stop. How do we flip the switch from work mode to romance?

Our solution to creating balance is having a weekly date night and taking Sundays off. We do something fun that has absolutely nothing to do with the business: sporting events, barbeques, church events, the beach, concerts, shopping, walks, you name it. We don’t talk about work and we stay off our computers and cell phones. This gives us the opportunity to recharge our batteries and reminds us of why we are in this business in the first place.

What we found is that we come back stronger, rejuvenated and rearing to work for the week. When we brush off date night or forget to take Sundays off, we are, well… unbalanced! We find ourselves picking silly fights, getting irritable and easily frustrated over petty things instead of enjoying the privilege of working with our beloved.

The benefit of working together as a couple is that we both bring our unique gifts and skill sets to the table. Sarah has a way of taking the complicated and making it simple. Her sense of humor breaks down people’s barriers and gives them hope that they too can create the lives they want. Tony has a magnetic ability to move people out of their comfort zone and into action. His zest for life is contagious.

We celebrate each other’s differences. We don’t try to mold each other into what we think the other should do or be. We both play vital roles and appreciate each other for it. We are like peanut butter and jelly: both are equally important to make a great PB & J!

Envisioning our future family life, we plan to continue putting our relationship first. Having the ability to raise children together in our home is a huge advantage of our profession. Sarah will still be part of the nucleus of our business, but our children will take priority. We envision traveling with them to visit with our teams around the world.

When we take time to step outside our business, we realize even more that we have something special. We are grateful for all the growing, the stretching, the ebbs and flows. We stand together, pinch ourselves and give thanks for each other and the gift of network marketing.
