One significant way energy moves in the universe is through the power of persuasion. Persuasion could be the key to getting what you want, including wealth and success in anything. Without persuading yourself and others, not much gets done.

Persuasion is all about moving consciousness; when you can move consciousness, you can move anything in the universe. Persuading someone is moving the person to take action, whether mental or physical. Most wealthy and successful people are masters of persuasion.

Clear Limiting Beliefs

You may have adopted certain opinions against using persuasion because you believe it is manipulation, and if so, these limiting beliefs might be preventing you from being successful. The use of persuasion for wrongful purposes is manipulation, but the natural use of persuasion is for direction. People want to be directed in a way that makes them comfortable with taking action that will benefit them. We naturally want to be led into doing what’s good for us by someone who can show us the way.

Realize that perception creates reality. The purpose of persuasion is to change people’s perception in order to change their reality. It is about helping others see things in a different way.

In order to use persuasion, you may first have to change your own perception—to persuade yourself about the use of persuasion. When you can shift your perception and beliefs about reality to match those of the wealthy and successful, you can use the power of persuasion the way they use it.

Show Me the Value

The most powerful and influential people in the world are persuaders. They have the power to shift people’s perception, beliefs and ideas about things. If you want to change the world, you have to change people’s consciousness. The most powerful kind of persuasion is when you can persuade people to move in the direction in which they already want to go by showing them the means of getting where they want to be.

The purpose of persuasion is getting people to recognize that they have a certain desire, how they can satisfy that desire and that what they give up in exchange for what they want is worth it.

When you persuade people, you convince them about the value of something—a product, a service, a certain course of action. Who is to say that a particular product is worth a certain amount of money? The truth is that everything the universe offers is free. All things in life acquire their value from people’s perception. The perception of value can differ from one person to another. You can create any value in anything simply by how you lead others to perceive it.

Exchange and Advancement

Nothing in the universe is of any use to any being except by the consciousness that that being has of it. Drugs and medicine will not work if the patient believes that they will not heal and if his consciousness is in harmony with disease rather than with healing. For a person who has the consciousness and belief of healing, even a placebo acquires the effect of healing. No one can achieve satisfaction from anything unless he has the consciousness to achieve satisfaction from it.

Persuasion makes the world go ’round. If people were not persuaded to do anything, there would be less movement of energy. There would be no buying or selling. When resources are not being moved around, things cannot be placed into the hands of those who can put them to better use. The economy comes to a standstill when money is not flowing. When people keep what they have instead of giving it to obtain something more, it only leads to stagnation, entropy and degradation.

That is why marketers, salespeople and promoters are doing society a big service. By persuading people to see value in something and to give something else—whether it is time, money or resources—in order to obtain it, they are promoting the exchange of energy. When energy is exchanged, there can be new combinations and advanced forms of energy created for the rest of the world to benefit from. The exchange of energy is what supports evolution of humanity and the advancement of life.

Moving Consciousness

Persuasion can move people to buy trash or treasure. Some people use very compelling messages to influence others to buy trash; why not instead use that same kind of powerful persuasion to influence people to buy treasure? Be persuasive when it comes to promoting what you have to offer, because value is created by perception and you’re doing people a favor by leading them to the products you believe in.

Movement in any market is influenced by the forces of supply and demand—yet supply and demand are themselves based on perception. You never have to worry about supply and demand when you can create demand through persuasion and persuade others to perceive you as their best supply. You can create your own market with the power of persuasion; that is why it is called marketing.

The way to great wealth is to create as much value for others as possible. Since value is based on perception, not only do you need to create value, you also need to create the perception of value. The greater the perception of value you are able to create and the more people you are able to influence, the more you can create an exchange of energy where money flows to you in exchange for what you offer.

The ability to influence is key to creating wealth. When you can move consciousness, the world is your oyster and the pearls are yours to enjoy.
