The "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" Playbook With the 12 Tenets of Awakening

"Your thoughts create your reality" is a mantra by now familiar to most anyone having read anything lately on the subject of self improvement. Quite true, says Lynn Grabhorn - but not so fast! In order to get the most out of this important news, we must first understand the "physics of thought."

In Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting [see "NT Interview," last issue - ed.], Ms. Grabhorn goes to great lengths to explain that what actually creates our reality is our feelings - created by our thoughts. We are electromagnetic beings that constantly send out vibrational waves (emotions), and, in accordance with the law of attraction, we magnetize into our lives events and circumstances of similar vibratory frequency. For instance, when you are feeling joy and gratitude, you will attract more of the good stuff, since like attracts like.

Grabhorn promises that The "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" Playbook, if followed as it is laid out, will enable you to master the art of deliberate creation and learn how to live without struggle or worry. She starts by describing a profound change that is happening to our planet and has never been experienced before. As humans tapping into the drastic new potential of becoming fully aware creators of life, we need to learn some different rules - hence the "12 Tenets of Awakening."

The Tenets are principles or insights that, if we adopt them, help us vibrate out new (positive) energies and thus attract more of the things we want. The process of integrating the Tenets is reinforced with exercises, journaling, affirmations and meditations. Oh - did we say "playbook"? Well, read "play" as "work that is fun!" I can assure you that it is anything but boring; some of the activities are an absolute gas. One of the readers enjoyed what he calls the "sock-it-to-us type approach mixed with constant spiritual urging."

What are the Tenets of this new world order? Number one: "We are vastly more than our body." Explanation: You are a piece of all that is. You are the same unlimited energy as what the universe is made of. Affirmations: "I am the pure positive ever-flowing energy of the universe. I can become whatever I desire to be." Now, here is the tricky part: in order to make this real for you, you need to make yourself feeeeel what you are saying. That's what the emotion exercises are for.

Some other Tenets: "We acknowledge that well-being abounds," "We are mastering the art of energy flow," "We approve of ourselves, no matter what." The Playbook shows you how to monitor your thoughts and feelings, so that you can "vibrate" the highest energy and attract the highest good. Grabhorn ends by giving you smart little one-liners to post on your bathroom mirror or in your car, as constant reminders of who you really are. A real walk-the-talk approach, the Playbook is a journey that will change your life.
